What is the BOOT Grant?
The BOOT Grant—short for Broadband Opportunities and Outreach in Texas—is a state-funded program designed to expand high-speed internet access to unserved and underserved communities across Texas.
Through the BOOT Grant, providers like Highline receive funding to help cover the cost of building out fiber infrastructure in rural areas, like Liberty, Newton, and Trinity counties. This support makes it possible to deliver affordable, reliable internet to residents and businesses who have historically lacked access to modern broadband.
In short, the BOOT Grant helps ensure every Texan has the opportunity to connect, learn, work, and thrive—no matter where they live.
